Founders Chris Raven and Simon Raven are UK travel writers, screenwriters, road trip adventurers, photographers and authors of 3 travel comedy books:

Chris has travelled extensively around South America, Asia, Europe and to over 75 countries; from the steamy hot jungles of India and the white beaches of Croatia and Brazil to hardcore road trips to Damascus, the Arctic Circle and to the city of Vladivostok in 2003, becoming one of the first Europeans to drive the unfinished Amur Highway by car across the Zilov Gap in Siberia. 

Chris has just completed a TV script and is currently researching his next book, which takes the Raven brothers on a road trip around The Black Sea in a 20 year-old Volvo 440.

SIMON RAVEN

Simon Raven

Best known for his candid overland travel writing and off the beaten track colour photography, Simon Raven has searched and documented new travel destinations across the globe. 

Simon graduated from the London Institute in 1996 and worked as an online news editor and journalist, before becoming a freelance travel writer and photographer. His career began when the brothers drove from the UK to Vladivostok in 2003, becoming one of the first Europeans to traverse the Amur Highway by car across Russia and Siberia. 

His published work 'Driving the Trans-Siberian' co-written with his brother, Chris Raven, launched a career in travel writing and photography. Simon has covered many international destinations over the past decade including; the Balkan Peninsula, new routes across South America and China's Deep South. Simon's mission is to report on the unique people and places that colour our world. Simon is the author of three published travel comedies; Leaving London, Driving the Trans-Siberian and Carnival Express.
